INTRODUCTION

Leadership and Management in 21st Century at all levels are becoming increasingly dynamic and complex. Both the Institutions, public and private sector organizations are confronted by environmental factors such as economic, political, sociological, technological, and legal challenges. The need for leaders and managers at all levels to successfully meet these challenges requires a comprehensive appreciation and understanding of their roles, goals and the expected competencies.

The Leadership and Management trends of the 21st century will focus on Management, Finance and Technology since the survival of every organization or institution in this dynamic and complex environment rest squarely on how they leverage on these three factors.

The Five-day conference has been designed to introduce a variety of fundamental perspectives on L&M, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Knowledge Management (KM), Data Science (DS) and Digital Transformation (DT) to build future leaders in public and private sectors who are able to understand and deal with future challenges. The L&M trends of the 21st century will focus on Management, Finance and Technology since the survival of most organization’s in this dynamic and complex environment rest squarely on how they leverage on these three factors.
Future leaders and decision makers will learn effective techniques and approaches to make better choices. Participants will begin to understand the context of their organizations, gather information and assess alternatives; they will also be able to make decisions and develop ways to implement those decisions. The conference aims to enable leaders and decision makers to introduce fit for purpose KM styles and approaches to their organization’s effective transformation. Using participants’ own organizations as cases, participants will explore how and when they can establish AI and KM initiatives in their organizations and who should be involved.
The conference will explain how AI is about designing and building computer-based artifacts to make various human tasks easier. Participants will realize how much AI has the potential to make our lives better in almost all fields. It gives us the tools necessary to learn from and capitalize on human experience, and perform complex tasks such as recommending solutions based on processing large amounts of data. In addition, participants will have insight into: critical analysis; interactive and team working; creativity; and problem solving.
Through this conference there will be room for networking with various universities including Cambridge University UK, Oxford University, Kings College, Google, IBM to mention a few.

Prof. John Adams

Biography
Professor Adams was the Head of Department of Economics at the British University in Egypt from 2011 until August 2018 and was previously Director of the China-EU Research Centre based in Edinburgh, Scotland. He was also the Economic Policy Adviser to Age Scotland prior to joining the BUE. He has published widely in the field of economics in both national and international academic journals, is the co-author of several textbooks including ‘Research Methods for Business & Social Science Students’ now in its second edition and used in N. America, Asia, Europe and Australasia by both under and postgraduate students. He has worked as external examiner at the Universities of Dundee, Sussex, Abertay and Hong Kong. Professor Adams has also undertaken consultancy assignments for a wide range of public and private sector organisations in the UK and overseas. He is currently a visiting Professor at three Universities in China and supervises Masters and Doctoral students at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. His research is mainly focused on economic development and on the process of development. Professor Adams also provides training to Investment Promotion Agencies in several countries on attracting, managing and evaluating FDI. This includes risk analysis, country evaluation and project appraisal undertaken for senior staff in the private and public sector.

BIOGRAPHY
Allam Ahmed is the Founding President of World Association for Sustainable Development (WASD) and Founding Editor of all its journals. Allam completed his Ph.D. in Economics (Technology and Knowledge Transfer for Development) at Edinburgh Napier University, UK in two years; MSc/MBA from the Royal Agricultural University, UK (awarded the RAU Scholarship and Prestigious Book Prize for Best MSc/MBA Dissertation) and he is a Fellow and Chartered Marketer of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK. Following several senior lecturing appointments in Edinburgh, London & Sussex Science Policy Research Unit – SPRU (world leader in research, consultancy and teaching in the field of Science and Technology Policy), where he established and lead the postgraduate programme MSc International Management, in 2009 Allam was appointed to lead the Government of Abu Dhabi major and first of its kind in the Middle East Knowledge Management Framework (Musharaka). He is also the Founding Director of the Middle Eastern Knowledge Economy Institute (MEKEI); Visiting Professor at the Royal Docks School of Business and Law and University of Brighton Business School, UK (2012-2015). Allam has also been fortunate enough to have a wide variety of teaching experiences prior to the University of Sussex at the University of East London (Business School), Edinburgh Napier University (Business School), University of Edinburgh (School of Economics), University of Leicester (Centre for Labour Market Studies) as well as international working experience at Regents Business School (London), Schiller International University (London), Amity Business School (India), and the University of Khartoum, (Sudan). He has travelled and worked in almost all continents of the world including substantial experience in Africa, Middle East and Europe. His professional experience include working with Marketing Data Basics, British Marketing Research Bureau International, New Generation Systems, Yuksel Insaat Saudia Company (KSA and Turkey); Middle East Office for Translation and Interpretation (KSA); and Director for Africa IAAS International. Allam’s work is featured and archived by major international institutions and top universities such as World Bank; United Nations; European Commission; Swiss Government; UK Department for International Development (DFID); Governmnet of St Lucia; World Food Programme, FAO; Imperial College London; Cambridge; Oxford; Princeton; Yale; Harvard;MIT; Stanford; Toronto; USA Congress; British Library; etc. Expert Advisor to the European Commission on International Scientific Cooperation (2006-2008); International Co-ordinator UNESCO Chair on Transfer of Technology (UNESCOTT) (2008-2010); Advisor African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) (2011-2013); Founder of Sudan Knowledge (SK); referee for the UK Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), Dutch Research Council (Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research), Oxford University Press and for various governments, in Africa, Europe and the Middle East. He produced more than 125 publications (including 35 books) and serves on the Editorial Board of eight international journals in S&T, SD, KM, Business, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Management, Strategy & International Business. He is the recipient of several international Awards and Medals and listed in the WHO’S WHO IN THE WORLD 2009-2018, WHO’S WHO IN FINANCE and BUSINESS 2009/2010 and WHO’S WHO IN AMERICA 2012-2014 published by Marquis Who’s Who, USA. For more than 25 years, Allam has presented many keynote and public speeches to a wide range of audience drawn from academic institutions, industries and international organisations from a broad range of backgrounds, post and under-graduate students, senior and middle management to government officials and trainees at all levels. Dr. Rawad Hammad

Biography
Rawad Hammad is a Senior Education Solutions Analyst at King’s College London, with extensive experience on Software Engineering and Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) research and practice. Hammad contributed to various international research projects, led various international projects, published research articles and has been involved in conference programme committees. In 2018, he received his PhD in Software Engineering from the University of the West of England (UWE). In 2010, he received his MSc in Cognitive Computing from Goldsmiths University of London. Hammad’s research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Software/Requirement Engineering, TEL, Analytics, Smart Cities/IoT, Semantics, Enterprise Architecture. Rawad led numerous international initiatives, e.g., TRANSFER and SmartTech (including Japan, Germany, Finland and Middle East). Prior to coming to Kings, Rawad was a researcher at Centre for Complex Cooperative Systems-UWE. He was the Director of e-Learning Centre at Gaza University, and Developer and Team Lead at the Logicteca Company, Canada.

Dr. Rabie Saidi

Biography
Rabie Saidi is a Lead Data Scientist in the European Bioinformatics Institute in Cambridge, UK. He conducts research and development in the intersection of data mining, big data, machine learning and bioinformatics. He is responsible for adapting and creating new technologies for descriptive and predictive purposes for protein data analytics. His main activities are centred on smart data-driven solutions for the annotation of proteins in UniProtKB/TrEMBL. Rabie’s academic background is in machine learning and data mining and he holds a PhD in Computer Science from Blaise Pascal University.

Management consultancy leader, business transformation expert and business architect with an extensive background in public and private sectors, specialising in business strategies, business process re-engineering, change management, organizational transformation, knowledge management, and ICT. Prior to the formation of P3 Transform Limited, Mohamed held a number of senior leadership roles in industry and international consultancy in firms across the globe, including Ernst & Young, Atkins, Parsons Brinkerhoff, Mouchel International and Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation. Mohamed holds an MBA from University of Leicester School of Management, PRINCE2 & MSP Registered Practitioner with the Office of Government Commerce – UK and accredited as fellow member by the Institute of Consulting, full member of the Chartered Management Institute, The British Computer Society and The Institution of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). Mohamed has led many major projects within the UK: National Program for IT (NPfIT) the Government of Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Saudi. In addition, Mohamed has actively participated in analysing, architecting and managing various clinical data, records management and knowledge management systems and frameworks for healthcare, pharmaceutical organizations, and electronic publishers.
